4 Part Series

"When Mankind was Young" will be the fourth official portfolio release by Eric Torriente. The works in this four-part series describe the begining of civilization as history shows. The new works consists of new mixed media drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations. Eric Torriente will continue to evolve his expressionistic style as these new works will take on a more experimental edge that draws lines into new styles of painting and sculpture. During 2010-2011, the entire four part series of "When Mankind was Young" will get completed.

In "Neolithic Sanctuary", the second part of a four-part visual anthology titled "When Mankind was Young", Eric Torriente presents large scale pieces with scenarios that leave the viewer pondering about the beginnings of mankind and it's discoveries. These new works take a stylistic turn and are encrusted with bright tones and transparent layering. The works become large artifacts of expressionistic imagery that tells the tales of the beginning of human civilization. This series of works are composed of large drawings, mixed oil paintings and large mixed media sculptures.
